Job description

As a Sea Logistics Customer Care Specialist at Kuehne + Nagel (ID), you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients within the freight/cargo forwarding industry. This full-time position is based in Semarang, Central Java, ID and will involve working closely with our customers to ensure their sea freight logistics needs are seamlessly met.

What you'll be doing
  • Drive customer engagement, satisfaction, retention, and reactivation in close collaboration with Field Sales and Operational Care.
  • Build and maintain strong operational relationships with customer contacts through daily interactions, regular service reviews, and proactive advisory support.
  • Qualify customer inquiries and prepare quotations within approved pricing guidelines, following up to secure acceptance and closure.
  • Support customer onboarding in line with standard working instructions, ensuring accurate capture and transfer of customer requirements into internal systems, including initial orders.
  • Validate, enter, and manage customer orders through the operational execution process accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate closely with operations teams to ensure smooth shipment execution and timely issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with Finance to manage credit limits in line with business development needs and coordinate actions when challenges arise.
  • Prepare, review, and continuously improve customer reports and performance dashboards.
  • Ensure delivery against agreed financial targets, service KPIs, and strategic objectives.
  • Proactively identify service improvement opportunities to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
What we're looking for
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a customer service or logistics role, preferably within the freight/cargo forwarding industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve customer issues
  • Proficiency in using relevant logistics and customer relationship management software
  • Familiarity with sea freight shipping processes and regulations
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
