Job Purpose

The International Standard School Director is responsible for providing visionary and strategic leadership to ensure the effective management and continuous improvement of the school. This role oversees academic excellence, operational efficiency, faculty development, and student well-being in alignment with international education standards (such as Pearson Edexcel, Cambridge International, or International Baccalaureate).

Requirements
  • Master’s degree (or higher) in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification and/or international school leadership certification preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in education, with at least 5 years in senior leadership (Principal / Head of School / Director level).
  • Proven experience in international school settings or bilingual education systems.
  • Strong background in implementing Pearson Edexcel, Cambridge International, or International Baccalaureate
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Visionary leader with integrity and a passion for education.
  • Empathetic communicator and decisive problem solver.
  • Committed to continuous improvement and innovation.

Job Description
  • Develop and implement the school’s long-term strategic plan in collaboration with the Board of Governors.
  • Develop and manage relationships with partner districts, state and other education stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity across all departments.
  • Ensure the school maintains accreditation standards from national and international education bodies.
  • Oversee curriculum development and ensure it aligns with national and international benchmarks (Pearson Edexcel, Cambridge International, or International Baccalaureate).
  • Support academic leadership teams to achieve high-quality teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Foster a professional learning culture among teachers through coaching, mentoring, and continuous development.
  • Develop & manage daily operations efficiently, including budgeting, human resources, and facilities management.
  • Ensure compliance with all educational regulations and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards.
  • Oversee admissions, marketing, and community engagement initiatives to grow school enrollment.
  • Represent the school at external events, conferences, and educational associations by promoting the school’s vision, mission, and culture as the basis for educational programs in creating superior successors to the nation.
