Job description

The SAP FICO Consultant will support the end-to-end rollout of SAP Finance and Controlling modules across multiple retail business units. This role focuses on requirement gathering, solution configuration, integration with retail-specific processes, data migration, testing, and post-go-live support. The consultant ensures that finance operations—such as store transactions, inventory valuation, pricing, and revenue recognition—are accurately reflected and optimized in SAP.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze financial and controlling requirements from retail stakeholders (store operations, supply chain, merchandising, accounting).
• Configure SAP FICO modules (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center, Profit Center, COPA) according to retail-specific needs.
• Ensure strong integration with SAP retail modules (MM, SD, POS, Inventory Management).
• Validate and support data migration activities, including master data, opening balances, store-level data, and legacy retail financial information.
• Prepare and execute test scenarios: Unit Test, SIT, UAT.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions throughout rollout phases.
• Develop functional documentation, test scripts, and training materials.
• Provide end-user training, focusing on finance teams and retail operational finance users.
• Support go-live and hypercare activities for various retail store rollouts.
• Coordinate with technical teams (ABAP, BASIS) for enhancements, interfaces, and system improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
• 2–7 years of experience as SAP FICO Consultant in implementation or rollout projects.
• Strong understanding of retail business processes (store operations, POS, promotions, returns, stock movement, pricing).
• Hands‑on experience in SAP FICO configuration and integration with MM/SD.
• Experience in rollout projects (multi‑country or multi‑store preferred).
• Familiarity with interfaces between SAP and POS systems (e.g., sales data upload, settlement).
• Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication skills for business user interaction.
• Able to work under tight timelines during rollout phases.
