Sampoerna University invites applications for a Cybersecurity (Information System) Lecturer. The role involves lecturing undergraduate courses in English, conducting relevant research, and contributing to curriculum development aligned with outcomes-based education.

You will participate in examinations, supervision, and university-wide activities. Ideal candidates hold a Doctoral degree in IS or related fields, with strong English communication skills and university teaching experience.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree in Information Systems, Informatics, IT Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
English proficiency in oral and written communication is required. All classes are taught entirely in English.
At least one year of relevant teaching experience, preferably in higher education.
Area of expertise (preferably interdisciplinary): Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Distributed Systems, Data Science, Digital Transformation.
Experience in university-level teaching experience.
Demonstrated research output (Scopus-indexed publications preferred).
Experience in curriculum development aligned with OBE (Outcome-Based Education).

Responsibilities

To engage in undergraduate teaching. The range of duties may vary from time to time but faculty are engaged primarily in lecturing.
To conduct research, which enhances the School’s high academic reputation. Publication of articles in refereed journals or proceedings, author of book, book editing, module/lesson plan, book translation, and seminar/conference presenter/speaker are some alternative outcomes.
To manage as appropriate any research grants secured, including the recruitment and management of any research assistants.
To engage in examining duties, i.e. the production of exam questions/papers, exam marking and moderation.
To participate in various Community Development activity approved by the University.
To act as academic advisor to students and to refer students to sources of pastoral support.
To participate in various University events as committee.
To implement other duties and tasks required by Faculty and/or Rectorate.
