Job description
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Minimum bachelor's degree in Logistics Management, Transportation, International Business, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in freight forwarding and clearance with experience leading operational & sales teams.
  • Skills: In-depth understanding of export-import processes, clearance systems, and the freight forwarding market.
  • Language & Computer Skills: Proficiency in English (spoken and written) and mastery of logistics systems and supporting software.
  • Industry: Experience in the logistics industry, international shipping, or global freight forwarding companies is an advantage.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all operational processes related to clearance and freight, both at the head office and branches, to ensure they run in accordance with SOPs and SLAs.
  • Develop and implement freight & clearance sales strategies to achieve revenue and profit margin targets.
  • Oversee PIB/PEB processes, exports and imports, customs clearance, and the delivery of goods from airports/ports to customers.
  • Lead and monitor the sales & operations team, including coaching, target setting, and regular performance evaluations.
  • Build strategic relationships with Customs, port authorities, airlines, shipping lines, and other external partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-divisional Account Manager teams to sell clearance & freight services to strategic customers.
  • Analyse operational and sales reports, conduct evaluations, and formulate system and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, ISO, and internal company policies.
  • Prepare budgets, control operational costs, and ensure process efficiency.
  • Ensure the team provides professional and responsive service to customers, with a focus on satisfaction and retention.
