Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia, an executive recruitment company, is recruiting on behalf of a leading company in the heavy equipment industry, specializing in excavators. As the company continues to expand its footprint in Indonesia, our client is seeking a highly experienced Sales Manager with a strong track record in sales and business development within the heavy equipment or construction machinery industry. The position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase market share and drive revenue growth for the excavator product line.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, mining companies, construction firms, and government agencies.
  • Lead sales activities including pipeline development, project tracking, and negotiation to close deals effectively.
  • Identify market opportunities, monitor competitor activities, and understand customer needs to shape effective sales strategies.
  • Work closely with marketing, product, and after-sales teams to ensure seamless customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Manage and support a network of dealers and sales agents to achieve sales targets and expand regional reach.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or business development within the heavy equipment or construction machinery industry, preferably focused on excavators.
  • Strong network and experience working with distributors, project owners, and industry decision-makers.
  • Proven ability to lead sales initiatives and achieve high performance in a competitive B2B environment.
  • Solid understanding of construction and mining industry dynamics, including equipment usage and procurement processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia (both spoken and written) is required.
