Sales Manager Responsibilities
Developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
Collaborate with the sales team to set realistic and achievable sales targets.
Provide guidance and support to sales executives to enhance their performance.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling to maximize revenue.
Sales Analysis and Reporting
- Monitor sales performance against targets and provide regular reports to the Sales Director.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
- Utilize data-driven insights to optimize sales strategies and tactics.
Team Environment and Collaboration
Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
Work closely with other departments, such as marketing and customer service, to ensure a cohesive approach to customer engagement.
Assist in the training and development of sales team members.
Sales Process Optimization
- Streamline and improve the sales process to enhance efficiency.
- Identify areas for improvement in sales techniques and implement corrective measures.
Negotiation and Deal Closure
- Participate in key negotiations and assist in closing high-value deals.
- Provide guidance on effective negotiation strategies to the sales team.
Market Research
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and customer preferences.
- Use market research to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a sales manager or in a similar sales leadership role. At least 5 years of experience in FMCG business (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) and leading the sales team to achieve the proven sales target. (A candidate with experience in the stationery and office supplies industry is preferable.)
- Fluent in English and Bahasa, both written and spoken.
- Own the car being used for the business purpose and own a valid driver's license.
- Having a proven database of potential B2B clients for general/traditional trade is a must, and clients of modern trade are optional.
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and trends to inform decision-making.
- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software/sales-related tools.
