A renewable energy solutions provider in Indonesia is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer specialized in solar PV. The role involves understanding customer needs, providing technical demonstrations, and developing sales strategies for key accounts. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, 3-5 years of relevant experience, and a strong background in the Renewable Energy Sector. Understand customer requirements, provide technical product demonstrations, and assist in crafting solutions that meet their needs.
Manage all communication and transactions with distribution channels by monitor and evaluate the sales performance.
Partner with sales managers and account executives to develop and execute sales strategies for key accounts and channels.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and new markets.
Develop and present tailored solutions based on customer requirements for simple issues and coordinate with technical expertise to provide solution for complex issues.
Participate in customer meetings, provide technical guidance, and create compelling presentations and proposals.
Stay updated with product developments and industry trends to effectively communicate the value of our solutions to clients.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in renewable energy technologies and products to provide accurate and informed support.
Collect and analyze customer feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement, and work with relevant teams to address these issues.
Prepare and present regular reports on support activities, team performance, and customer satisfaction to senior management.
Act as a subject matter expert (product owner) for specific products or technologies and contribute to product roadmaps based on market feedback.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, technical requirements, and sales activities in C4C systems.
Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitors' products, pricing strategies, and market positioning. Provide insights to help shape the company's competitive strategy.
Industry Trends: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market shifts to anticipate customer needs and advise on product development.
Best Practices: develop and share best practices for technical sales engagements and pre‑sales activities with the broader sales team.
Webinars & Workshops: Host or participate in webinars, workshops, and other educational events to showcase the company's expertise and build relationships with potential clients.
Cost Analysis: Assist in evaluating the financial aspects of proposed solutions, including cost of implementation and return on investment (ROI) for customers.
Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering - Electrical).
3 – 5 years of experience in a sales engineering role or related field, with a strong background in Renewable Energy Sector.
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets, ideally with a track record of closing large deals or managing significant accounts in the renewable energy field.
Having experience on selling solar PV products such as solar cable, inverter, panel, and mounting.
Experience in managing sales processes, from lead generation and qualification to closing deals and post‑sales support.
Experience in developing and executing sales strategies and plans to achieve business objectives.
Proven ability to manage and grow key accounts, including developing strategic account plans and maintaining strong client relationships.
Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets, managing large sales deals, and contributing to business growth.
