Job Description

The Field Services Outside Sales Representative (OSSR) is accountable for promoting and selling a broad range of technical services including startup, maintenance, testing, retrofit, upgrade and digital services of major manufacturers’ electrical equipment installed at the customer’s site. The OSSR also sells turnkey projects, ranging from simple equipment replacement to fully engineered solutions, and develops new sales opportunities while servicing existing accounts. The role requires building and maintaining relationships with new and existing Schneider Electric (SE) customers, estimating and selling system add‑ons, modifications and maintenance agreements to meet or exceed profitable sales targets.

Core Responsibilities
  • Develop account profiles and execute the sales plan.
  • Identify and contact potential customers or prospects, existing or new.
  • Secure customer satisfaction overseeing all ongoing activities (orders, delivery).
  • Utilize BFO for sales funnel management and account planning.
  • Provide monthly forecasts and summaries promptly.
  • Participate in analysis and reporting on field service performance.
  • Prepare sales quotations and proposals with the quotation team, ensuring expected margin.
  • Collaborate closely with Inside Service Sales Representatives and BU account managers to maximize business opportunities.
  • Feed Field Services Marketing leaders with offers feedback and needs.
  • Educate customers on all SE products and services, emphasizing recurring and digital offers.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching and guidance to other sales employees.
  • Coordinate or attend trade shows and marketing/sales seminars as needed.
Specialized Account Types
  • Strategic Accounts: specialized sales force to maximize services revenue with strategic accounts, supporting SAE or KAM.
  • Targeted Accounts: specialized sales force to maximize services revenue with targeted accounts, supporting the Account Manager.
  • Proximity Accounts (direct): maximize services revenue with proximity accounts.
  • Proximity Accounts (indirect): maximize services revenue with partners (Facility Managers, System integrators, Contractors, Distributors, VARs, Panel Builders) addressing proximity accounts not followed directly by SE.
Key Success Factors
  • Strong working relationship and regular coordination with all Account Managers for opportunity identification and support.
  • Regular collaboration with FS Operational Marketing team for comprehensive understanding of the country installed base.
Qualifications
  • 4‑year college degree or equivalent work experience and several years of technical sales experience.
  • Inside sales or CCC experience is a plus.
  • Ability to build a sustainable and reliable relationship with customers (Customer Intimacy critical).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including C‑level interactions.
  • Thorough knowledge of Schneider Electric services throughout the Asset Management Life Cycle of the product.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM tools with excellent organizational skills.
