Job Description

The Field Services Outside Sales Representative is accountable for the promotion and sales of a broad range of technical services including the start‑up, maintenance, testing, retrofit, upgrade and digital services of major manufacturer’s electrical equipment installed at the customer’s site. The OSSR also sells turnkey projects ranging from simple equipment replacements to fully engineered solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new sales opportunities and address the needs of established accounts.
  • Identify scope of work, estimate and sell system adds/modifications and maintenance agreements to meet or exceed profitable sales targets.
  • Create service proposals and close them with the customer.
  • Collaborate with account managers, FS ISSR and FS Operational Marketing teams.
  • Increase the mix of Service Plans sales as a top priority.

Specialisation in mature countries (customer type)

  • Strategic Accounts: specialised sales force supporting the SAE or KAM.
  • Targeted Accounts: specialised sales force supporting the Account Manager.
  • Proximity Accounts (direct)
  • Proximity Accounts (indirect): specialised sales force for partners such as Facility Managers, System Integrators, Contractors, Distributors, VARs, Pannel Builders.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop account profiles and execute the sales plan.
  • Apply market and account skills necessary for dealing with specific target audiences.
  • Identify and contact potential customers or prospects.
  • Secure customer satisfaction by overseeing all ongoing activities.
  • Utilise BFO for sales funnel management and account planning.

Qualifications

  • 4‑year college degree or equivalent work experience and technical sales experience.
  • Experience in inside sales or CCC is a plus.
  • Ability to build sustainable, reliable customer relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including C‑level customers.
  • Thorough knowledge of Schneider Electric services across the Asset Management Life Cycle.
