Job summary

Job description

Ocean Mantra Village is a new eco retreat on a private bay in Bima, (NTB). We have 24 accommodation units (glamping tents & bungalows), a yoga shala and a restaurant, focused on wellness, yoga and retreat groups in a quiet natural environment. We are about 1 month from construction completion and 2–3 months from soft opening.

We are looking for a Retreat / Operations Manager to join us in the pre-opening stage and live on-site in Bima, NTB.

Responsibilities
  • Pre-opening:
    • Understand the full concept and standards of Ocean Mantra Village
    • Help design the team structure and organization chart
    • Recruit and onboard staff (housekeeping, kitchen, garden, security)
    • Create basic SOPs and service standards for daily operations
    • Coordinate handover from construction to operations (room checks, snag list)
  • Opening & operations:
    • Lead day-to-day operations
    • Ensure warm, personal guest experience (retreat style, not formal big hotel)
    • Manage and motivate the team, schedule shifts, organize trainings
    • Handle guest feedback and complaints calmly and professionally
    • Monitor basic KPIs (occupancy, reviews, staff stability, cost awareness)
    • Coordinate planning and reporting with the owners
Requirements
  • Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role (Operations Manager, Resort / Hotel Manager, Assistant Manager, Front Office Manager, Retreat Manager, etc.)
  • Experience in small / boutique properties (not only city hotels)
  • Experience in remote / island locations is a strong advantage
  • Willing to live on-site in Bima, NTB for at least 1-3 years
  • Good spoken and written English (able to communicate with foreign owners and international guests)
  • Hands‑on, positive leadership style, strong sense of responsibility
  • Stable work history (preferably at least one position for 2+ years)
  • Salary around IDR 20,000,000 - 25,000,000 per month (depending on experience)
