The Opportunity

We are seeking a Store Manager to oversee and drive the launch of an exciting new lifestyle & homeware retail concept at Timor Plaza. This pivotal role is responsible for managing store performance, optimising sales, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring exceptional customer service standards.

The Store Manager will lead a diverse team, manage day-to-day retail activities, analyse sales performance, and develop strategies that enhance profitability and customer satisfaction. This role combines strong leadership, commercial insight, and operational management expertise within a fast-paced retail environment.

The Perfect Fit
  • 5+ years of experience in retail operations, category management, or store management within a multi-brand or FMCG environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven ability in managing teams, budgets, and inventory control.
  • Commercially minded with a strong understanding of sales analytics, merchandising, and consumer trends.
  • Excellent leadership, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and retail management systems (POS, inventory tracking).
  • Initiative, adaptability, and the ability to work independently in a multicultural team environment.
  • Effective communication in English; proficiency in Tetum, Bahasa Indonesia/Malaysia, or Mandarin is an advantage.
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, train, and motivate the store team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Monitor and analyse category performance, implementing action plans to drive sales and profitability.
  • Ensure merchandise presentation aligns with brand standards and optimize store layouts for customer engagement.
  • Manage stock levels, replenishment, and inventory accuracy.
  • Oversee daily operations including cash handling, store security, and compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, marketing teams, and management on product promotions and seasonal campaigns.
  • Maintain store standards in cleanliness, visual display, and operational readiness.
