We are seeking an experienced and driven Retail Buyer and Merchandiser to join a brand-new lifestyle retail concept in Dili, Timor-Leste. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, selecting, and managing product assortments across our retail operations at Timor Plaza. You will play a key role in driving sales growth, optimising inventory, and ensuring our stores consistently deliver the right products at the right time.
Working closely with suppliers, retailers, and the management team, you will oversee the full buying and merchandising cycle — from sourcing and negotiation to stock planning, pricing, and visual presentation.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally:
Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail buying, merchandising, or category management
Possess a degree or diploma in Business, Retail Management, Supply Chain, or a related field
Demonstrate strong analytical, negotiation, and supplier management skills
Be adept at identifying emerging trends and translating data into actionable buying decisions
Have experience managing inventory levels, pricing strategies, and product performance across multiple categories
Possess excellent communication skills and commercial awareness
Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, inventory management systems, and POS data analysis
Be able to work effectively in a multicultural environment and manage timelines with accuracy
