Job summary

SME Careers is seeking a Mechanical CAD contractor with strong FreeCAD skills to design and document realistic tasks for AI training. You will build parameterized parts, sketches, and assemblies, then record demonstrations showing the workflow and verification criteria.

The role is remote, hourly, and requires clear written documentation of each step for reproducibility by engineers. Experience with multiple FreeCAD benches is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in FreeCAD with solid modeling skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English at B2 level.
• Strong understanding of parametric modeling and constraints.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic CAD tasks in FreeCAD across multiple workbenches.
• Record demonstrations of workflows with provided tooling and capture setup.
• Write clear, reproducible workflow steps for engineers to follow.
• Define verification criteria and acceptance checkpoints for models.
• Handle tasks from simple sketches to multi-step assemblies and drawings.
