Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a qualified phylogenetics reviewer to validate AI-generated problems, research tasks, and evaluation scenarios. You will assess scientific accuracy, realism, and correct grading while delivering precise annotations and constructive feedback.

The role is remote, requires strong reasoning and independent work, and involves 15–20 hours of engagement over the next few days, with at least 8 hours per day and 4 hours overlap with PST.

Qualifications

• Master's/PhD in Phylogenetics, Evolutionary Biology, Bioinformatics, Genetics, Computational Biology, Life Sciences, or related field or 4+ years of Phylogenetics experience.
• Strong scientific reasoning and research skills are required.
• Ability to provide detailed feedback and high-quality annotations.
• Excellent structured communication and collaboration in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated phylogenetics problems, research tasks, and evaluation scenarios.
• Assess scientific accuracy, realism, and grading of problems.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for biological accuracy and reasoning quality.
• Identify scientific errors, logical gaps, and inconsistencies in content.
• Provide detailed annotations and quality assessments to improve AI outputs.
• Collaborate with AI research teams to enhance evaluation workflows.
