Regenerative Landscapes and Agriculture Manager

As we are continuously expanding, we are hiring for the position of Regenerative Landscapes and Agriculture Manager in our Jakarta office (Jakarta).
KI is committed to advancing Nature Climate Solutions through a sustainable landscape and seascape approach. This role will serve as an expert, advising internal and external partners on sustainable agriculture strategic intervention, designing delivery and collaboration strategy, and leading the initiative to enhance impact and sustainability. The manager will innovate and maintain high quality work in project management, analysis, and strategy development using the latest science and business practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead strategic regenerative landscapes and agriculture project delivery, coordination and reporting by working closely with technical, field and operational teams.
- Lead and collaborate on timely economic analysis to enable behavior change of stakeholders in the landscape, including cost‑benefit analysis, assessment of revenue streams, value chain mapping, financial analysis, and development of blended finance models.
- Develop and evaluate economic incentives for landscape initiatives, including restoration, sustainable livelihood, forest management and biodiversity conservation.
- Develop persuasive economic arguments for conservation in appropriate form to influence key decisions, including direct engagement/support of senior staff engagement with decision makers, publication and presentations.
- Provide technical support to landscape managers and program directors to ensure the projects in the pipeline are aligned with program and landscape strategies.
- Provide strategic analysis to KI program strategy and its alignment with global and national government priorities.
- Represent KI in meetings or events, conduct regular meetings with respective government offices and build strong relationships and collaborations with other stakeholders, including private sectors, universities and NGOs.
- Develop donor reports in collaboration with the program manager and relevant staff.
- Serve as a recognized technical resource and share technical best practices within and outside KI.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A master’s degree in economics, agribusiness, natural resource economics, sustainable development, forestry, or related sciences.
- Minimum 10 years of full‑time work experience in a relevant field.
- Experience in economic valuation studies for ecosystems.
- Experience in economic analysis including cost‑benefit analysis, value chain analysis and financial analysis.
- Proven knowledge or experience in climate‑related issues, including carbon crediting transactions (origination, voluntary carbon market standards and implementation), terrestrial and/or blue carbon.
- Experience managing complex projects and excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent reporting, written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated team player with problem‑solving skills and ability to develop new approaches.
- Demonstrated track record of working effectively and collaboratively with multicultural, international, multidisciplinary teams, including a strong capacity to navigate diversity, equity and inclusion.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work is performed in a typical office environment with visits to project sites and other locations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours to support conferences and meetings in different time zones.
