Job description

R&D Assistant role is responsible to support project activities and laboratory activities to ensure R&D support is provided to the business, also responsible for development of essential documentation for product qualification, regulatory and safety compliance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Support laboratory trials, pilot plant activities, and industrial trials for formulation validation, including preparation of samples for consumer, performance, and stability testing.
• Conduct testing on products and raw materials, record results using the required format, and investigate any inconsistent or unusual data.
• Prepare trial protocols, technical reports, and documentation for internal approval, quality assurance, safety, and regulatory assessment.
• Present test results, highlight issues or risks, and provide recommendations to the line manager and project teams.
• Manage stability testing, analytical method transfer or verification, and coordination with external laboratories when required.
• Work with R&D Innovations, procurement, other R&D teams, and suppliers to support regional and global activities, including preparation and shipment of samples.
• Develop working instructions and SOPs to support laboratory and pilot plant activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure all activities comply with HSE and SQRC requirements.

Qualifications

• Holds a Diploma or Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering major or any related science.
• Having at least 1 year of experience in R&D formulation development, new product development, analytical, supply technical, Quality, or other role involving analytical work and/or solving formulation technical problems. Fresh graduate can be considered.
• Have knowledge/experience in handling HPLC, GC, and UV Spectrophotometer referential.
• English proficiency (written and spoken).
