Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking an R&D Formulation Manager – Personal Care in Tangerang, Indonesia. The role leads formulation research across skincare, haircare, and body care, from concept to production-ready products, with emphasis on scratch formation and genuine innovation.

The candidate will build and mentor a local Indonesian R&D team, establish development processes, manage trials and stability testing, and coordinate with QA, Production, and Marketing to ensure compliant, scalable products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Cosmetology, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience developing formulations from scratch in cosmetic/personal care.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation research and create production-ready formulas.
• Identify new product opportunities from raw materials and ingredients.
• Oversee lab trials, stability testing, and technical validation.
• Scale-up formulations from lab to mass production.
