Job summary

A leading project management company in Papua Barat is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage and ensure measurements and calculations align with contract requirements. You will conduct field surveys, coordinate with engineering teams, and maintain SHE standards. A Diploma degree is required along with at least 1 year of relevant experience and good communication skills. Fluent English is an advantage. This role offers the opportunity for flexible work hours to meet project demands.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or related role.
  • Good knowledge of construction methods and materials.
  • Ability to conduct comparisons between budget quantity and actual.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and ensure all measurements in accordance with the contract.
  • Conduct field surveys accurately for progress claims.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Construction teams.
  • Maintain and implement SHE programs effectively.

Manage and ensure all quantity and measurement in accordance with the existing Contract, starting from the initial calculation to the final figure. Seek to minimize the cost of a project and increase the value of money, while still achieving the required standards and qualities.

Use and maintain survey software in order to ensure efficiency in survey activities. Surve activities have been proven efficient.

Conduct field surveys in good time and accurately determine quantities necessary for the submission of monthly progress claims. Field surveys are successfully conducted and the results are accurate.

Collect accurate daily survey and download data into the computer to ensure datas are interpreted accurately by the Survey Draftsman. Accurate daily surveys and interpretations are successfully gained.

Coordinate and liase with Engineering and Constructions Team to ensure that construction designs are being properly implemented in the field. Construction designs are being properly implemented in the field.

Maintain and actively implement SHE programs and responsibility (involve identify, mitigate and monitor SHE risk), including SHE Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard, requirements and procedure applied and to confirm the execution of the SHE Responsibility meet the intended outcome - SHE risk well maintained

Education

Diploma Degree of Any Major

Skill, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Min. 1 years experiences as a Quantity Surveyor or related with commercial / project cost controller / cost planner.
  • Good knowledge of construction methods and materials take off
  • Comparison Budget Quantity vs. Actual
  • May be required to work flexible hours to meet project requirements.
  • Willing to be placed in all projects.
  • Good communication, negotiation, and QS breakdown structure
  • Fluent in English, bothspoken and written is an advantage
