Job summary

A leading construction firm in Indonesia seeks a qualified QC/QA/QS professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Project Quality Plan per company standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections from material receiving to final finishing.
  • Record and report any non-conformities or errors (Non-Conformance Reports/NCR).
  • Maintain and manage all quality-related records and documents.
  • Coordinate with project managers and communicate inspection results.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and project specifications.

Skills

Understanding of QC/QA/QS principles

Requirements:


  • Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

  • Possess a fundamental understanding of QC/QA/QS principles.


Languages:


  • Proficiency in English is required.

  • Mandarin language skills are highly preferred.


Experience:


  • Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience as a QC/QA/QS professional, preferably in the construction or contractor sector.


Skills:


  • Ability to read and interpret work drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards (e.g., SNI, ASTM, ACI, or internal company standards).

  • In-depth knowledge of construction materials (concrete, steel, soil, asphalt, etc.) and their testing methods.

  • Understanding of construction processes and work sequences (e.g., structural work, architecture, MEP).

  • Capable of performing accurate visual inspections and field measurements.

  • Skilled in using measurement tools and testing equipment related to construction quality.

  • Able to identify potential quality issues or non-conformities with standards.

  • Proficient in compiling inspection reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), test reports, and other QC documentation accurately and neatly.

  • Proficient in using common software (e.g., Microsoft Office: Excel, Word) for reporting and analysis.


Personality:


  • Meticulous, firm, and responsible.

  • Possess good leadership qualities.

  • Able to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently.


Special Requirements:


  • Willing to travel for business when necessary.

  • Has a high attention to the smallest details to ensure no non-conformities are overlooked.

  • Able to manage inspection priorities and schedules to avoid disrupting project progress.


Tasks & Responsibilities:


  • Develop and Implement QC Procedures: Develop and implement a Project Quality Plan in accordance with company standards and project requirements.

  • Perform Quality Inspections & Testing: Conduct routine inspections at all stages of construction work, from material receiving to final finishing. Ensure that incoming materials comply with specifications and required standards. Supervise and verify that field work methods align with quality standards. Coordinate and/or perform material and construction work testing (e.g., concrete slump tests, material sampling).

  • Identify and Report Non-Conformities: Record and report any non-conformities or errors found (Non-Conformance Reports/NCR). Ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken to address these non-conformities.

  • Manage Quality Documentation: Maintain and manage all records, reports, and documents related to project quality (e.g., test results, inspection reports, equipment calibration). Ensure all QC documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.

  • Coordinate & Communicate: Coordinate closely with project managers, field engineers, foremen, and contractors to ensure quality standards are understood and followed. Communicate inspection results and project quality status to management.

  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure that all construction work complies with applicable government regulations, industry standards, and project specifications.
