About the role

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all pressure vessels, heaters, and related mechanical equipment comply with applicable codes, standards, project specifications, and quality requirements. The role involves inspection, testing, documentation control, and coordination with internal teams, vendors, and third-party inspectors to maintain the highest level of product quality and safety.

What you'll be doing

Conduct inspection and quality verification for pressure vessels, heaters, heat exchangers, tanks, and similar mechanical equipment according to ASME, API, and client specifications.

Review and interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, welding procedures (WPS/PQR), NDT requirements, and quality plans.

Perform in-process and final inspections including dimensional checks, welding inspection, hydrostatic/pressure testing, and material verification.

Monitor fabrication, assembly, and repair activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures and standards.

Witness and coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities (UT, RT, MT, PT, PMI, etc.) with certified inspectors and third-party agencies.

Ensure proper documentation such as Inspection Test Plans (ITP), Quality Control Procedures, Material Test Certificates (MTC), and test reports are complete and accurate.

Prepare inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), Corrective Action Requests, and ensure timely closure of quality issues.

Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and regulatory authorities for inspections, clarifications, and quality-related matters.

Verify that all materials and equipment meet project requirements before installation or shipment.

Maintain strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) requirements during all quality activities.

Support internal audits, surveillance, and continuous improvement initiatives for the quality management system (ISO 9001 or equivalent).

What we’re looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Minimum 3–5 years of QA/QC experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or fabrication industry.

Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII, API standards, welding inspection, and pressure equipment codes.

Certification in NDT Level II (UT, RT, MT, PT) or Welding Inspector (AWS-CWI/CSWIP) is an advantage.
