Job Description

• Read from requirements, design/write and review test cases.
• Collaborate with developers, product owner, and other related teams to understand the expectations, priority and timelines for features under development.
• Define and design negative and edge cases and improve test cases coverage up to 100%.
• Automate P0 test cases on a daily basis.
• Report all found and identified bugs in jira.
• Make sure highest quality code delivery to production, for instance, Zero (or less than 1%) of leaked critical/major severity issues.
• Update the tasks and bugs in jira to follow the sprint best practices.

Requirements

• Experience in writing sophisticated test cases covering positive, negative and edge cases by consuming the Product requirements document and any other technical documentation.
• Experience testing web and mobile products for functionality using UI (web and mobile) and API testing techniques.
• Experience/Knowledge using API/UI test automation tools (eg: postman, playwright, selenium, etc) to test functionality (Experience is an add-on).
• Experience using test management and project management tools (eg: jira, test rails, etc).
• Knowledge/Experience with development and test frameworks like TDD/BDD/ATDD, etc.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of Ruby, Go, Java, Javascript, DBMS and Shell.
• Knowledge of performance or load testing.
• Knowledge/Experience working with CI/CD (GIT, Jenkins, etc).
• Understanding of Agile Methodology.
• Fluency speaking in English.

Working Arrangements for This Position

Remote working 40 hours a week (documented via timesheet/work log).

Semi-flexible working hours, need to be reachable from 9am - 6pm.

Expected to be reachable if there's a production incident for the feature you develop.

Will prioritize candidates who are able to join immediately.

Freelance Period: 5 months
