Job summary

VLink Inc in Tangerang, Indonesia is seeking a QA Engineer with 1-3 years of experience to join our software quality team. You will analyze requirements, design test cases, and perform manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and API integrations.

The role emphasizes SDLC/Agile practices, use of Jira/Confluence, and building robust test automation with Katalon, Postman, SoapUI, and JMeter. You will collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure release quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science from a reputable university.
1-3 years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester.
Mandatory experience in Non-Retail Banking or Insurance projects.
Hands-on experience with Katalon for automation testing.
Experience in Web, Mobile, API, and system integration testing.
Strong understanding of STLC, Agile/Scrum, and QA testing methodologies.
Experience with Postman and SoapUI for API testing.
Experience with Jira and Confluence for test management and defect tracking.
Experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans and CI/CD pipelines.
Basic knowledge of SQL for data and database validation.
Good understanding of test case design, defect lifecycle, severity, and priority.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Analyze business and technical requirements to identify test scenarios and potential risks.
Create test plans, test strategies, and structured test cases based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
Perform manual testing across web, mobile, API, and system integration, including functional, SIT, UAT, regression, and post-deployment testing.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Katalon and other relevant automation tools.
Perform API testing using Postman and SoapUI, including request, response, status code, and data validation.
Execute performance testing using JMeter and analyze the test results.
Identify, document, and track defects using Jira, including clear reproduction steps and test evidence.
Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve defects.
Maintain test documentation and traceability using Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps Test Plans.
Prepare test reports and support release decisions based on test results and defect status.
Contribute to improving QA processes, test automation coverage, and overall software quality.
