Job summary

A leading paint manufacturing company is seeking a QA Assistant Manager (Decorative) to oversee the Quality team and ensure compliance with various quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering and extensive experience in QA/QC roles, particularly in the paint industry. This position is located at the Head Office in Tangerang, Indonesia, and requires strong communication skills and hands-on laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in QA/QC/Technical roles, preferably in paint or chemical manufacturing.
• Hands-on laboratory experience in testing parameters like viscosity and gloss.
• Strong knowledge of SNI, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and environmental regulations.

Job description

PT Kansai Prakarsa Coatings, one of the largest paint manufacturing companies in Indonesia and a Japanese-owned organization, is committed to delivering high-quality products through innovation and continuous improvement. We are looking for QA Assistant Manager (Decorative) to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Define objectives, manage, and review the performance of the Quality team.
• Implement, maintain, and continuously improve Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001/14001 and Green Industry Standards).
• Ensure compliance with national standards (SNI), environmental regulations (VOC, Pb-free), and global standards (REACH, RoHS, Ecolabel).
• Identify quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and develop corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate with R&D, Production, Procurement, and Marketing for new product development and customer complaint handling.
• Supervise laboratory testing activities (physical, chemical, and application tests) for resin, pigments, additives, and finished paints, and enhance integrated quality with QCD principles (Quality, Cost, Delivery).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Chemistry (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in QA/QC/Technical roles; experience in paint or chemical manufacturing is preferred.
• Hands‑on laboratory experience in testing paint and raw material parameters such as viscosity, hiding power, gloss, adhesion, etc.
• Strong knowledge of SNI, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, environmental regulations, and GHS.
• Able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Willing to be placed at Tangerang - Head Office.
