Job description

Handle the purchasing process for shipping spare parts, consumables, and diesel fuel in bulk quantities.

Conduct supplier evaluations and ensure product quality, delivery reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Perform quality testing and verification of diesel fuel before acceptance and distribution.

Prepare and issue purchase orders in line with company procurement policies.

Negotiate with vendors for optimal pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.

Coordinate closely with the shipping operations and logistics teams to ensure timely supply of materials.

Maintain purchasing records, supplier database, and regular procurement reports.

Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma (D3) in Port & Shipping, Supply Chain, Mechanical, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, especially in shipping spare parts and fuel procurement.
• Technical understanding of marine spare parts and diesel fuel specifications.
• Ability to perform or supervise diesel fuel quality testing (e.g., checking water content, density, or contamination).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong negotiation and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently, under pressure, and with attention to detail.
• Fluent in English, Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
