The Client

Datacenter People is partnering with a leading European integrated power solutions manufacturer, a brand independent supplier of power systems for mission critical sectors including data center.

What The Job Involves

• Develop initial technical concepts—also in visual form—to facilitate communication with the customer and support the commercial process.
• Request accurate information from suppliers so we can make the right choices when designing customer solutions.
• Maintain strong relationships with our suppliers, both domestic and international.
• Create detailed technical and commercial proposals, including cost estimates, technical specifications, and timelines.
• Collaborate closely with various supporting project teams—such as sales and marketing, engineering, procurement, and project management—to ensure all proposal aspects are technically feasible and cost-effective.
• Maintain regular contact with customers to clearly understand and document their requirements and expectations.
• Continuously contribute to improving standard templates and processes to increase efficiency and proposal quality.
• Keep detailed records of all quotations and proposals.

We Are Looking For Someone With

• Bachelor’s level education (HBO) in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• Preferably several years of experience in a similar role within the emergency power, energy, or related industry.
• Solid foundational knowledge of systems such as generators and engines to help us develop the best emergency power solutions.
• Strong analytical skills to identify and solve technical problems, and preferably experience in a project-oriented environment.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor (or similar design software).
• Affinity for the commercial side of engineering and the ability to work with account management colleagues to provide suitable solutions for customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
