Job summary

App Group is seeking a senior process engineer with a strong background in pulp and paper, focusing on high-purity fiberlines and dissolving pulp projects. The role emphasizes optimizing chemical usage, energy balances, and recovery loops within a modern mill environment.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant engineering degree and 5–7 years of industry experience, with a proven track record in process optimization and technical mastery of fiberline operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Paper Science, or related industrial engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in the pulp and paper industry with focus on high-purity fiberlines or dissolving pulp projects.
• Minimum age 18 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide deep technical expertise on high-purity fiberline operations.
• Focus on pre-hydrolysis Kraft or sulfite cooking kinetics, oxygen delignification, and multi-stage bleaching (ECF/TCF).
• Audit assets and perform mass/energy balances to identify bottlenecks in chemical consumption, washing, and pulp reactivity.
• Optimize the chemical recovery loop, causticizing plant, and liquor cycle for dissolving pulp production.
