A prominent organization is seeking a Facility Supervisor to oversee maintenance and repair activities in a professional setting. The role involves supervising teams, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining quality standards while addressing service needs of guests. Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma, and a First Class Stationary Engineer’s Operating License or equivalent. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for fostering an inclusive environment.
POSITION SUMMARY
Coordinate small projects involving workers engaged in maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings and grounds. Supervise activities related to setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining facility systems such as boilers, pumps, HVAC, plumbing, water and sewage, Energy Management Systems (EMS), security systems, and other building components. Ensure availability and proper use of service manuals, technical manuals, and blueprints during maintenance, repair, or replacement procedures. Have overall responsibility for supervising a shift or department operation, providing guidance and direction to subordinates, and serving as a technical resource. Provide training to new hires and incumbents. The scope of duties may vary depending on department size.
Follow all safety, security, and company policies; report problems, hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Maintain a professional appearance, confidentiality, and protect company assets. Welcome guests, address their service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities. Communicate clearly and professionally, develop positive relationships, and respond to concerns appropriately. Ensure quality standards are met. Physical requirements include reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, inspecting tools and equipment, lifting objects up to 50 pounds without assistance, and assisting with heavier objects. Move on stairs, ramps, or ladders, grasp and manipulate objects, and stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Perform other duties as requested by supervisors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D.
Related Work Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience.
Supervisory Experience: Previous supervisory experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
License or Certification: First Class Stationary Engineer’s Operating License or equivalent.
