Job Overview:

The Project Manager will play a key role in planning, executing, and closing shipyard projects within scope, budget, and schedule. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, manage resources efficiently, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality projects that meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, defining project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  3. Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
  4. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies, monitoring and controlling project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  5. Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing project updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  6. Quality Assurance: Oversee the implementation of quality assurance processes to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed industry standards and client requirements.
  7. Timeline Adherence: Monitor project timelines, identify potential delays, and take corrective actions to keep projects on schedule.
  8. Contract Compliance: Ensure that all project activities comply with contractual agreements, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
  9. Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, ensuring that all changes are documented, approved, and communicated effectively.
  10. Reporting and Documentation: Generate regular project reports, documenting project progress, issues, and resolutions. Maintain comprehensive project documentation for future reference.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in shipyard operations or maritime projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of shipbuilding processes and industry standards.
