Job summary

A leading construction company in Jakarta Utara is looking for a Health, Safety, and Environment Coordinator. The role involves coordinating health and safety activities, monitoring incident investigations, and ensuring compliance with safety documentation. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of relevant experience, knowledge of safety regulations in the construction industry, and strong communication skills. Fluency in English is required.

Job description

Coordinate the activities of any Health & Safety Advisors (project) under their control.

Monitor the adequacy of incident investigation and reporting.

Ensure that assistance is provided to project management in the preparation of project safety management plans.

Ensure that all project-related contracts are provided with the relevant statutory health and safety documentation.

Collate incident and man-hours worked data for the project and send weekly reports to the area and corporate safety department.

Keep and maintain clear records to comply with safety management system and internal audit standards.

Communicate and promote the health and safety management ethos and concepts.

Ensure that project has been provided with the relevant statutory health and safety documentation.

Identify ideas for improvement and issues encouraged.

Attends regular project safety department meetings.

Carry out other relevant duties as required from time to time.

Follow up all finding if any safety audit or observation from client.

Education and Qualification:
  • A minimum of 5 years previous experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of health, safety and training requirements in the construction industry.
  • Experience at several projects in some industries (Building or Industrial).
  • Knowledge of statutory safety requirements and laws in the construction industry.
  • Contacts and maintains contact easily with people of varying levels, changes personal conduct to a situation, if necessary, in order to create a positive atmosphere, solve conflicts and achieve goals.
  • Great team player
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Open to relocate anywhere
