Job summary

PT. Tanahmas Berkah Raharja in Balikpapan, Kalimantan Timur, Indonesia seeks a Project Estimator to prepare BoQ and cost estimates for construction projects.

The role requires 4–5 years in estimation or quantity surveying, strong Excel/AutoCAD/SAP2000 skills, and the ability to read technical drawings. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and suppliers, and help manage budgets with cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in construction estimation or quantity surveying.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, SAP2000 and estimation software.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Able to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven.
• Familiar with construction materials, methods, and local pricing standards.
• Able to work independently and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed BoQ and cost estimates for construction and property projects.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to determine accurate estimates.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and suppliers for cost validation.
• Monitor and update pricing databases for labor, materials, and subcontractors.
• Review tender documents and assist in preparing bidding proposals.
• Conduct site visits when needed to gather information and verify field conditions.
• Assist project managers in controlling budgets and minimizing cost overruns.
• Provide value engineering suggestions to optimize costs without compromising quality.
