A leading global company in Jakarta is seeking a highly specialized Project Controller to manage the financial health and operational performance of complex projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying, PMP Certification, and 5-8 years of relevant experience in industries such as Oil & Gas and Infrastructure. This critical role demands strong project lifecycle knowledge and system expertise in tools like Primavera P6 and SAP.
We are seeking a highly specialized and technically-grounded Project Controller to join our Southeast Asia Operations team. Based in Jakarta, you will be primarily responsible for managing and controlling the operational performance (OP) and overall financial health of complex projects across Indonesia, with direct reporting lines to the Region Head.
This is a critical, high-visibility role for a professional who can effectively bridge the gap between technical project execution and rigorous financial reporting.
Financial Integrity: Control project costs within budget and timeline. This includes expert handling of revenue accrual and ensuring precise cost matching.
Performance Management: Lead project budgeting, forecasting (OPEX and CAPEX monitoring), and track the financial performance of multiple projects simultaneously.
Technical & Operational Liaison: Apply a deep understanding of the project lifecycle to coordinate effectively with site teams, Engineering, Procurement, and Project Management Offices (PMO).
System Expertise: Prepare and manage project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP/Oracle) for cost control and detailed reporting.
To ensure success in this role, candidates must meet the following strict criteria, as defined by our Regional Operations Leadership:
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) or Quantity Surveying (QS) is compulsory.
Certification: Must possess PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or be able to demonstrate equivalent formal training/certification in Project Lifecycle Management.
Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of direct, operational Project Controller or Senior Cost Control experience (not pure accounting/audit).
Industry Focus: A strong, stable career history within Oil & Gas (O&G), Power Plant, EPC/EPCIC, or Heavy Construction/Infrastructure sectors.
Career Stability: A proven track record of stable tenure (minimum 2+ years per major company) demonstrating exposure to full project life cycles.
