Job summary

Oriental Sheet Piling, a business unit of ArcelorMittal, in Tangerang, is seeking a Production Operator to operate production equipment and support manufacturing activities, ensuring product quality and safe operations.

You will follow SOPs, work in shifts, and collaborate with the team to meet output targets while maintaining a clean, safe work environment and adhering to HSE standards. This role may involve basic welding/fabrication and requires a clamp on gantry crane operation if certified.

Qualifications

• Minimum SMA/SMK or equivalent; technical background preferred.
• 1–2 years in manufacturing/production.
• Experience operating industrial machinery preferred.
• Gantry crane and welding certificates are advantageous.
• Willing to work shifts and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machines and equipment per SOP.
• Perform daily production tasks to meet output targets.
• Monitor machines and report abnormalities.
• Handle materials using suitable equipment.
• Perform basic welding/fabrication as needed.
• Inspect products for quality compliance.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe operating practices.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Production Operator role based in Tangerang. The Production Operator is responsible for operating production equipment, supporting manufacturing activities, ensuring product quality, and maintaining safe and efficient production operations according to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operate production machines and equipment according to SOP and work instructions.
2. Perform daily production activities to achieve output targets and quality standards.
3. Monitor machine conditions and report abnormalities or production issues.
4. Perform material handling activities using appropriate equipment.
5. Operate gantry crane for material handling (if certified and assigned).
6. Perform basic welding and fabrication work to support production activities (if required).
7. Conduct product inspection and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
8. Perform routine cleaning, equipment checks, and basic maintenance activities.
9. Follow HSE procedures, use PPE properly, and maintain a safe working environment.
10. Support teamwork and continuous improvement activities in the production area.

General Requirements:

1. Minimum Senior High School (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; technical background in Mechanical, Electrical, Welding, or Manufacturing is preferred.
2. Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
3. Experience operating industrial machinery is preferred.
4. Gantry Crane Operator Certificate and/or Welding Certificate is an advantage.
5. Basic understanding of production processes, quality standards, and safety procedures.
6. Willing to work in shifts and overtime when required.
7. Good discipline, teamwork, and ability to follow work instructions.
