Client Overview

Our client is a trading company that has recently expanded into gold jewelry manufacturing, marking a new phase of growth in Indonesia’s precious metals industry. The company’s vision is to establish a reliable, high-quality domestic jewelry production hub capable of serving the national market and meeting the increasing demand for modern, locally crafted gold products.

With a production factory in Banjarmasin, the company has been operating its jewelry production line for just over a year. Despite strong market potential, production efficiency and workflow optimization remain key challenges, prompting the need for a seasoned production leader who can build structure, improve processes, and ensure seamless daily operations.

Job Role

The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of jewelry manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety procedures are consistently met. This role requires deep technical understanding of gold jewelry production, including design handoff, molding, casting, polishing, plating, and finishing. This position offers the opportunity to join at a pivotal time of transformation, working directly with the company’s leadership to establish end-to-end manufacturing systems, from raw material handling to quality control and delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the entire jewelry production process, ensuring optimal output, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Develop and implement production schedules, inventory control, and workflow optimization.
  • Establish and monitor KPI standards covering quality, safety, cost, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, PPIC, and Quality Control teams to align production with new product development.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Ensure proper resource allocation, raw material management, and machinery utilization.
  • Supervise production personnel, ensuring training, performance monitoring, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Coordinate with the management team to support strategic production planning and long-term scalability.
  • Work closely with accounting and marketing teams to provide production data and cost insights when required.
Candidate Requirements
  • Educational Qualification: At least Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical fields.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years in manufacturing, with 5 years in jewelry or precision metal production.
  • Proven track record in managing factory operations, production planning, and team leadership.
  • Background in accounting or strategic marketing will be an advantage.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and inventory systems.
  • Knowledge of metal casting, plating, polishing, and finishing techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP-based production tracking systems.
  • Personal Attributes:
