Main accountabilities and tasks
- Pursue sales leads, visiting existing and new customers to meet sales target levels.
- Negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority; and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets
- Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services.
- Identify, research, and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business.
- Refer sales leads, customer feedback, and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization so that they can respond to changing market conditions and customer demands.
- Ensure success of sales cases for designated offering
- Participate in sales planning and sales target setting
Work complexity and business impact
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering-related science
- Typical minimum relevant experience required: 4-7 years
- Works independently to complete given assignments and projects, promoting and selling the organization's products and services.
- Significant negotiation is required and it is critical to be able identify and follow-up on prospective customers.
- Good interpersonal skills, leadership capability to lead (virtual) team even in matrixed organization
- Experience and knowledge of key cultural differences and ability to adapt communication style accordingly. Skilled at working across global boundaries.
- Good communication skills in English, as well as presentation and facilitation skills
- Guides and influences others within own area of expertise.
