Job summary

A furniture development company in Semarang is seeking an experienced professional to provide administrative support for their Product Development teams. The ideal candidate will have at least a diploma, strong construction knowledge, and at least 4 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include coordinating sample reviews, creating technical documentation, and preparing presentations. A self-motivated individual with creative thinking and problem-solving skills is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Preferably Assistant Manager specialized in R&D/Production/Drafter of furniture or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision / self-motivated.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the Product Development teams.
  • Coordinate the review process for all sample development and testing.
  • Create and execute detailed technical sheets and measurement guides.
  • Review quality specifications and provide feedback.
  • Track and manage development of furniture and accessory products.
  • Prepare professional presentations for use.

Qualifications
  • Required language(s): English
  • At least 4 years of working experience in the related field is required.
  • Preferably Assistant Manager specialized in R&D/Production/Drafter of furniture or equivalent.
  • Required Skills: Construction knowledge, detail‑oriented and systematic, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision / self‑motivated.
  • Strong problem‑solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Works with a sense of urgency and can balance competing priorities.
Scope of Work
  • Provide administrative support for the Product Development teams.
  • Coordinate the review process for all sample development, testing, and corrective action needed.
  • Create and execute detailed, comprehensive technical sheets, converting CAD drawings into measurement guides, property datasheets, BOMs, and technical sheets.
  • Review quality specifications and technical support documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Improve any concerns related to quality, packaging, and technical support.
  • Track and manage the development of furniture and accessory products, including management of materials, finishing, libraries, and coding.
  • Assist the Product Development Teams and Country Manager as needed.
  • Prepare professional, branded presentations for internal and external use (in PowerPoint, Excel data, etc).
  • Travel to vendors for item inspections, sample/development reviews, and discussions with both parties to improve when needed.
  • Perform additional responsibilities assigned by Management.
