Role Summary
Lead the innovation and development of food products in alignment with company strategy and market trends.
Responsibilities
- Oversee formulation, sensory evaluation, shelf-life testing, and product optimization to ensure superior taste, texture, and quality.
- Manage and execute lab-scale, pilot-scale, and full-scale trials, analyzing results and making recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business Development, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations) to ensure smooth product launches.
- Monitor consumer insights, competitor products, and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and product improvement.
- Ensure compliance with local and international food safety regulations, nutritional guidelines, and labeling standards.
- Lead cost optimization projects while maintaining product quality and consistency.
- Support troubleshooting of technical challenges in production and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology (Master’s degree is preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience as Product Development Manager in food or beverage industry.
- Proven track record of leading successful product launches from concept to commercialization.
- Experience managing product development projects, cross-functional teams, and external suppliers.
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Proven leadership and people management skills with experience leading teams of over 15 members.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Innovative thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
