Job summary

A leading communication service provider in Indonesia is looking for a Procurement Manager to develop procurement strategies and manage the supply chain for delivering high-quality communication services. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and at least 3 years of managerial experience in a technology or telecommunications environment. The role also includes training and managing a procurement team while ensuring cost savings and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as purchasing manager or 5 years as senior purchasing staff in telco or technology company.
• Proven ability to develop and execute procurement strategies and achieve cost savings.
• Experience in data analysis, demand forecasting, and reporting.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Forecast levels of demand for services and products
• Conduct research to source the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
• Run tenders, evaluate bids and make recommendations, based on commercial and technical factors
• Negotiate and agree contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided
• Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers
• Manage, motivate and train a team of procurement staff
• Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, internal teams and customers
• Develop strategies to make sure that cost savings and supplier performance targets are met - or exceeded
• Ensure all procurement processes are followed and accurately recorded
• Undertake value for money reviews of existing contracts and arrangements
• Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities
• Develop and implement a procurement strategy
• Analyse data and produce reports and statistics on spending and saving
• Ensure suppliers are aware of business objectives
• Keep up to date with trends and innovations, regulation and new technology that can impact on the business.

Requirements

• Graduated from reputable university with GPA > 3.0 in one of the following majors: supply chain, business administration, finance, accounting or industrial engineering
• Have experience at least 3 years as purchasing manager or at least 5 years as a senior purchasing staff in telco or technology company
• Proven ability to develop and execute procurement strategies and achieve cost savings
• Experience in data analysis, demand forecasting, and reporting
• Good understanding of procurement processes and regulations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
