What you\'ll be doing

• Manage and lead the Purchasing team to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, components, and other supplies


• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms and secure the best possible prices


• Oversee inventory management, including forecasting, stock control, and just-in-time delivery to production


• Analyse purchasing data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements


• Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Production, Finance, and Quality to align procurement activities with business objectives


• Develop and implement purchasing policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency and accountability


• Manage and mentor the Purchasing team, providing training and development opportunities

What we\'re looking for

• Substantial experience (8+ years) in a purchasing or procurement management role, preferably within the manufacturing or FMCG industry


• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships


• Proficiency in inventory management, including forecasting, stock control, and just-in-time delivery


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making


• Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven track record of developing and motivating teams


• Familiarity with purchasing systems and technologies, and the ability to drive process improvements


• Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
