Our facility in Batam, Indonesia specializes in the production of lighting and detection product technologies including Specialty Lamps for industrial and photonic applications, IPL Lamps and Trigger Coils, as well as Infra‑Red Detectors (IRD), Sensor Modules and Pyro‑electric Ceramic Wafers. Operating since September 1994, this site is also responsible for manufacturing Thermopile Sensors (TPS), Thermopile modules (TPM), CCD Sensors and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies.

We are presently seeking a PROCESS ENGINEER who will be responsible for developing, sustaining and improving the process of production in his/her designated area, creating process documentation, and solving process issues by using process engineering skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and drive improvement of production yield using statistical techniques (e.g., SPC).
  • Support troubleshooting of process‑related issues through structured problem‑solving.
  • Develop and optimize processes for the introduction of new products (NPI).
  • Qualify new or relocated equipment, new materials, or new processes used in manufacturing.
  • Analyze and provide comprehensive evaluation or qualification reports.
  • Create, implement, and maintain product and process documentation (e.g., WI, SOP, FMEA).
  • Evaluate and certify production operators to ensure competency in process execution.
  • Provide technical advice on material suitability and process compatibility.
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects to eliminate waste and resolve chronic process issues (e.g., using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies).
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (e.g., Equipment, Quality, Production) to support manufacturing and process‑related projects.
  • Responsible to comply with procedures related to quality, environment, health and safety management system in the respective area in charge.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing industry in semiconductor assembly process (e.g., die attach, wire bonding, etc.).
  • Familiar working with statistical techniques and sound understanding of process control and capability measurement.
  • Familiar with problem‑solving tools.
  • Certified or trained Six Sigma Green Belt is an added advantage.
  • Good communication skill and project management skill.
  • Hands‑on experience in electronics, semiconductor, or PCBA manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Proficient English communication skill both written and spoken.
