A leading food processing company in Kota Medan is seeking a qualified individual to lead and oversee all preventive maintenance programs. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering along with 5-10 years of maintenance management experience. Strong analytical and leadership skills are essential. The position offers the chance to implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and optimal maintenance practices.
Lead and oversee all preventive maintenance (PM) programs for production and utility equipment, ensuring reliability, safety, and compliance with operational standards.
Plan and manage PM schedules across all areas, coordinating with Supervisors, Staff, and Technicians to ensure timely and effective execution.
Establish and maintain standard preventive maintenance procedures, inspection checklists, and service intervals for all critical equipment.
Monitor PM implementation through daily, weekly, and monthly performance reviews with maintenance teams to track completion, quality, and equipment status.
Analyze maintenance performance data and identify root causes of recurring issues to improve equipment reliability.
Supervise and develop maintenance team by providing direction, training, and technical guidance to strengthen leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and Quality departments to align PM schedules with production plans and avoid operational disruption.
Oversee the utilization of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure accurate planning, documentation, and reporting of all PM activities.
Evaluate spare parts usage and ensure critical components are available to support PM tasks without delay.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, cost efficiency, and maintenance excellence, including TPM, RCM, and predictive maintenance practices.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards, promoting a culture of proactive maintenance and accountability.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in maintenance management with a strong focus on preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
In-depth understanding of maintenance methodologies such as TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance), and FMEA.
Proven ability to design, schedule, and monitor preventive maintenance programs for high-volume manufacturing facilities.
Experience using CMMS / EAM software for scheduling, tracking, and reporting maintenance activities.
Strong analytical skills in interpreting reliability data and maintenance KPI.
Familiar with PLC systems, automation equipment, and utility systems.
Excellent leadership and coordination skills to manage multi-skill maintenance teams across shifts.
Demonstrated ability to drive improvement projects related to equipment reliability and maintenance cost efficiency.
Good communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
