The successful candidate will lead a large manufacturing workforce and work closely with regional and local leadership teams to ensure the plant consistently delivers world-class operational performance.
Provide overall leadership for the manufacturing site, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
Lead and inspire a large, cross-functional manufacturing team, creating a culture of accountability, engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Develop leaders across the plant through coaching, succession planning, and capability building.
Drive operational excellence across production, quality, safety, cost, productivity, and service performance.
Own the site's operating budget and identify opportunities to improve efficiency while managing manufacturing costs.
Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise productivity and eliminate waste.
Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), ISO, GMP, and regulatory standards.
Partner closely with Supply Chain, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and other business functions to maximise plant utilisation and deliver products on time and in full.
Evaluate and implement improvements in manufacturing technology, equipment, automation, and production systems.
Lead organisational change initiatives that strengthen operational capability and foster a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related discipline (Master's degree is advantageous).
10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, MUST HAVE a significant experience within the FMCG industry.
Proven experience leading large manufacturing operations with a workforce minimum of several hundred employees.
Strong track record of building high-performing teams, developing leaders, and creating a positive workplace culture.
Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, and productivity initiatives.
Demonstrated experience managing plant performance across safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people metrics.
Strong commercial awareness with experience managing manufacturing budgets and operational performance.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple business functions.
Experience leading organisational transformation and driving sustainable cultural change is highly regarded.
