Perfumer / Senior R&D Specialist (Fragrance & Flavor Integration)
Develop and refine fragrance and flavor formulations for various applications (e.g., personal care, home care, or flavor-based products).
Conduct olfactory evaluations, stability testing, and performance analysis.
Research and assess raw materials including essential oils, molecules, aroma chemicals, and flavor compounds.
Ensure compliance with IFRA, FEMA, BPOM, and internal safety standards.
Research & Formulation
- Develop and refine fragrance and flavor formulations for various applications (e.g., personal care, home care, or flavor-based products).
- Conduct olfactory evaluations, stability testing, and performance analysis.
- Research and assess raw materials including essential oils, molecules, aroma chemicals, and flavor compounds.
- Ensure compliance with IFRA, FEMA, BPOM, and internal safety standards.
Technical & Laboratory Operations
- Manage formulation data, evaluation results, and documentation systematically.
- Maintain lab samples, formulation archives, and testing records.
- Coordinate with related teams (production and marketing) to ensure formulation feasibility and consistency.
- Operate independently in planning, executing, and reporting R&D activities.
Innovation & Integration
- Explore new fragrance‑flavor integration concepts and identify potential cross‑category synergies.
- Monitor market and ingredient trends to translate insights into innovative formulations.
- Participate in sensory evaluation sessions and contribute ideas for new product concepts.
Growth & Collaboration
- Demonstrate strong ownership and initiative in managing personal projects and lab activities.
- Contribute to documentation standards and workflow improvements within the R&D lab.
- Prepare to mentor future junior staff or assistants as the department expands.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Chemistry, Food Technology, Pharmacy, or other related disciplines.
- Experience: 3–5 years in fragrance or flavor R&D, ideally in a fragrance/flavor house environment.
- Proficiency in formulation, raw material analysis, sensory evaluation, and stability testing.
- Familiarity with IFRA / FEMA / BPOM standards.
- Strong olfactory sensitivity and structured documentation habits.
- Soft skills: self‑management, initiative, attention to detail, and readiness to grow into a leadership role.
- Preferred: understanding of both fragrance and flavor integration to support cross‑category innovation.
