Job summary

StraitsX Group in Jakarta, Indonesia seeks a mid-level Software Engineer with a strong backend focus to join our Fiat Payment Products team. You will build and operate systems behind our fiat and stablecoin payment rails, including our Public API powering deposits and settlements for merchants.

This role emphasizes backend work; you will collaborate with product managers and other engineers to deliver on the roadmap and keep production systems reliable as merchant traffic scales.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years backend experience with Ruby on Rails or Golang.
• Strong SQL and relational DB design (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and scalable systems.

Responsibilities

• Build backend features for fiat and stablecoin payments and Public API.
• Collaborate with product managers to shape requirements and roadmap.
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code and apply engineering best practices.
• Ensure availability and reliability with monitoring, stress testing, and maintenance as traffic scales.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and scalable, secure systems for financial transactions.
• Participate in code reviews, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.
• Support merchant integrations and L2 investigation; collaborate with frontend engineers.
