Job summary

A leading packaging supplier firm in Jakarta Utara is seeking a Procurement Specialist to source and procure packaging materials. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in procurement and a strong understanding of packaging materials and processes. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. This role is based in Cengkareng, Jakarta Barat.

Qualifications

• Min. 2 years of experience in the same field.
• Understanding of Packaging Materials (Plastic, Paper, Board, Glass, Metal, etc).
• Familiarity with common Packaging Processes (Injection, Blow Molding, Laminating, and Printing technologies).
• Understanding of die-cut, dimensioning, artwork, and knowing packaging tolerances.
• Knowledge of procurement processes (RFQ, vendor selection, negotiation).
• Ability to read basic technical specifications (advantage).

Job description

Source and procure packaging materials (cartons, bottles, pouches, labels, films, trays, caps, etc).

Request and compare quotations (RFQ) from multiple suppliers.

Ensure purchased materials meet required specifications, quantity, and delivery timelines.

Identify, evaluate, and develop packaging suppliers.

Maintain good relationships with key suppliers to secure stable supply.

Maintain drawings, artwork, and revision history.

Ability to manage packaging development timelines.

Evaluate supplier capability and sample quality.

Support negotiations for pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.

Requirements:

Min. 2 years of experience in the same field.

Understanding of Packaging Materials (Plastic, Paper, Board, Glass, Metal, etc).

Familiarity with common Packaging Processes (Injection, Blow Molding, Laminating, and Printing technologies).

Understanding of die-cut, dimensioning, artwork, and knowing packaging tolerances.

Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, Accurate).

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
