About the role

This is a full-time Packaging Engineer position at PT Valeo AC Indonesia, located in Batam, Riau Islands. As a Packaging Engineer, you will play a vital role in optimising the packaging and logistics processes to ensure the efficient and cost-effective distribution of the company's products.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and developing innovative packaging solutions to protect products during transportation and storage
• Analysing packaging requirements and selecting appropriate materials and methods to meet quality, cost and sustainability objectives
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement new packaging initiatives and improve existing processes
• Conducting testing and evaluation of packaging prototypes to ensure they meet performance and regulatory standards
• Monitoring packaging performance and identifying opportunities for optimisation and cost savings
• Providing technical support and training to production and logistics teams on proper packaging procedures
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations and best practices in packaging engineering

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Packaging Engineer or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
• Strong understanding of packaging materials, design principles and manufacturing processes
• Proficient in using CAD software and packaging design tools
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work cross-functionally
• Knowledge of relevant packaging regulations and industry standards
