Job description

As an IT operations engineer, you will maintain office equipment, including audio-visual systems, printers, video surveillance, office computers, etc., and provide IT technical support to laboratory staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure maintenance: Daily inspection and maintenance of server‑room air conditioners, fire‑fighting equipment, servers, and network equipment; equipment hardware troubleshooting and parts replacement.
• System Maintenance & Monitoring: Monitor servers, networks, and applications using tools to ensure availability and performance; perform routine maintenance, patches, and upgrades for OS (Linux/Windows), middleware, and databases; installation, upgrade, and troubleshooting of office software for laboratory staff; support for online audio and video meetings.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security policies, firewall rules, and access controls; perform vulnerability scans and backups to ensure data integrity; follow disaster‑recovery plans and conduct regular drills.
• Automation & Optimization: Develop scripts (Shell/Python) to automate deployments, backups, and monitoring; optimize resource usage, reduce costs, and improve scalability with tools like Docker or Kubernetes; work with China teams and partner to support projects and provide technical guidance; maintain documentation for network topology, configurations, and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Senior High School with a major in Electrical Engineering.
• Has knowledge and understanding of electrical systems and basic civil works.
• Willing to serve as the IDAK/CDAKB technician with a signed statement letter (the diploma will be registered in the OSS and IDAK systems).
• 3+ years of experience in IT operations, with expertise in Linux/Windows systems, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN), and common services (e.g., Nginx, Docker, K8S).
• Proficiency in scripting (Shell/Python) and automation tools.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
