Job summary

Konnco Studio in Bantul, Indonesia, is seeking a backend engineer to design, build, and maintain Go services with fintech-grade reliability. You will own REST and gRPC APIs, optimize PostgreSQL schemas, and implement caching to reduce latency and load.

Work is on-site in Bantul (WFO) with join ASAP. The role requires strong PostgreSQL skills, Redis caching, Docker containerization, and a solid Git workflow, plus a proactive communication style.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of backend engineering experience, preferably in fintech.
• Strong PostgreSQL skills, including schema design, query optimization, transactions, and migrations.
• Familiar with caching using Redis or equivalent, along with REST and gRPC API design.
• Comfortable working with Docker for containerized services.
• Solid Git workflow, including branching, pull requests, and code review.
• Understands fintech engineering practices such as idempotency, decimal precision for monetary values, audit logging, and safe concurrent transactions.
• Good communicator, proactive in flagging blockers, and open to learning new technologies.
• Willing to work on-site (WFO) in Bantul (Join ASAP)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services in Go
• Design and implement REST APIs and gRPC services for internal and external consumers
• Model and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and migrations
• Implement caching strategies to improve latency and reduce database load
• Containerize services with Docker and support deployment pipelines
• Ensure data integrity, idempotency, and correct handling of financial transactions
• Write tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to technical documentation
