Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience operating offset printing machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of printing processes, colour management and print quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret production specifications and technical documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to workplace safety regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and willingness to follow instructions from supervisors.
• Physical capability to perform the demands of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate offset printing machines in accordance with production specifications and quality standards.
• Set up printing plates, ink systems and paper feed mechanisms on printing equipment.
• Monitor print quality during production runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure consistent output.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of offset printing machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Inspect printed materials for defects, colour accuracy and proper registration.
• Maintain accurate production records and document any issues or downtime.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production progress and any equipment problems.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
