Job summary

About the role

We are seeking an Officer, Finance to join our finance team at our facility in Bandung, West Java. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the financial operations and reporting functions of Asia Pulp and Paper. As an Officer, Finance, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, contributing to regulatory compliance, and providing financial insights that support business decision-making. This role is integral to maintaining the financial health and transparency of our operations.

Key responsibilities
  • Preparing and reconciling financial statements, general ledger accounts and subsidiary ledgers in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Recording, verifying and processing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all accounting entries
  • Conducting regular account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies to maintain data integrity
  • Supporting the preparation of management accounts, financial reports and regulatory filings
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including accruals, provisions and adjustments
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation and supporting schedules for all financial transactions and reports
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to gather financial information and clarify accounting matters
  • Supporting internal and external audit activities by providing requested documentation and explanations
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to the efficiency of finance operations
What we’re looking for
  • A qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline from a recognized institution
  • 1-3 years of experience in financial accounting, general accounting or a similar role within a corporate or manufacturing environment
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft 365 , with the ability to work with large datasets and create accurate financial reports
  • A thorough understanding of financial accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting practices
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and rectify errors efficiently
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English and Indonesian (or Bahasa Indonesia), with the ability to communicate financial information effectively
  • A methodical approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of relevant Indonesian tax and accounting regulations would be beneficial
